STAFF AVAILABILITY Our current staff consists of full time employees, part time employees, plus several independent consultants which allow us to provide full electrical and mechanical engineering design services. With our staff of in-house engineers, designers and technical staff plus our network of independent consultants, designers and CADD draftsmen, our flexible staffing arrangement allows us to easily schedule new projects into our workload. STAFF CAPABILTIES Our staff is familiar with many major mechanical, plumbing and electrical building systems including; medium voltage (5-25KV) and low voltage (480V) power distribution, backup generators, switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, UPS systems, interior lighting, site lighting, landscape lighting, building automation, isolated power, low voltage control, security, fire alarm, telecommunications, television, and nurse call systems, plus Simulated Energy Modeling and LEED or Energy Star compliant systems.
EQUIPMENT CAPABILITIES We use the latest computer technology systems utilitizing windows based Intel processors and HP plotters which allow us to produce the highest quality set of construction documents. Our mainstay cadd programs are AutoCad and MicroStation, and our staff is proficient with numerous application software packages and computer systems. An example of software expertise includes Microstation, AutoCad, SKM Power Tools, LumenMicro, Visual Professional, E-Quest, HAPS, SolidWorks, Symphony, Lotus, WordPerfect, TimeLine, Microsoft Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, DOS and numerous other software applications. SUSTAINABLE DESIGN Our firm has been directly involved with the design of several LEED certified projects, including the first Core & Shell project in this region of the state to be awarded Platinum by the USGBC, East 54 Building 100 in Chapel Hill.
Plus additional sustainable design projects include 650KW solar photovoltaic plant in Person County, 75KW solar photovoltaic plant at NC State, 75KW solar photovoltaic plant in Garner NC.
